Applying for a Cadetship
Prospective Cadets
Employment will be with major Transport, Logistics or Manufacturing companies located throughout all metropolitan areas of Melbourne, and regional Victoria. A competitive salary is offered.
Training will be provided both on and off the job. The off-the-job training will be provided by TAFE, where cadets will attend eight weeks of study annually. In addition, participants will need to complete assignments and any further study as directed by the training provider.
The on-the-job training will involve rotation through different areas of the business to enable the cadet to get an overall picture of how a business operates.
Students who have completed year 12 between 2007 and 2009, and who meet the following criteria, are eligible to apply.
Attributes of a Cadet
- Ability to problem solve.
- Flexible and with an ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Sound communications skills. (Able to hold a verbal conversation with a variety of audiences).
- A positive attitude and sound work ethic.
- Keen to learn and further develop skills.
Education
- Pass grade in English and a Maths subject.
- Commerce or any Business subject would be an advantage.
